Over the past few years the number of women who blog has grown exponentially. There are over 18.9 million women who write blogs according to the Pew Research Center; and according to recent statistics, women blogs are wielding the widest influence. From Heather over at Dooce to Jill at Scary Mommy, women everywhere are saying that their voices need to be heard. A brilliant few are blogging with so much finesse and savvy that they’re eventually afforded the option of allowing their husbands to quit their jobs… All while still folding the clothes and mopping the floors.

With so many women bloggers fighting for the spotlight, many don’t make it past the first year often being lost in a heavily saturated niche. That’s why this list is so important. In order to help you in your quest to find some fantastic reads and highlight what I believe to be some of the most talented rising stars in the “woman blog” industry, I’ve put together a list of amazing women who are destined to shine over the next year.

From crafting to pop culture, from recipes to travel, this group of women are an exceedingly opinionated bunch… Which is exactly how we like them ;).
I’ve selected these women based off of their exceptional writing styles, outstanding blog designs, and general popularity since the time they were established.
Here they are in no particular order:

Amy of Baby Baby Lemon

This crafty lady makes her own strawberry vodka… ’nuff said.
With crafts not being one of my strong suits, I admire Ms. Amy for her resourcefulness and creativity – and you undoubtedly will too. Upon entering Baby Baby Lemon you’ll be immediately struck by her snarky tagline: “When life gives you lemons… suck it.”
Got to love it.

Amy’s ingenuity and wit don’t stop at her personal blog. She also has a food blog aptly titled SoupOrSaladBlog.com.
Stop by both of her little corners of the web and prepare to be inspired.

Christy of Christy, Home-Mom

From the fun and colorful design to the relatable writing, Christy is definitely a blogger to watch out for. With four and 1/2 children, (she has one on the way) Christy offers an “experienced” look at motherhood and gives an entertaining perspective on what being a stay-at-home mom is really all about. Visit her fan page and give her a like.

Denise of A Real Mother

A true renaissance woman, this lifeguard turned middle school teacher turned Hickory Farms girl turned attorney turned columnist (and it didn’t stop there. This woman is leading a full life) writes with a charm and wit that only a true self-deprecating former teacher could have. Her talents have led her to authoring a book – A Real Mother: stumbling through motherhood.

Jacki of Dare 2 Dream Dare 2 Do

Her title and fun blog design say it all. Dare 2 Dream Dare 2 Do is a witty, smart, and almost painfully honest look at what it truly means to find yourself. She sums it up quite nicely by saying: “[It’s] life according to a book-obsessed, maniacally efficient, logically creative, feminist in a conservative facade.” Follow Jacki @jackiRhayes.

Jamie Lynne of I Am Not the Babysitter

An already prominent voice in the blogosphere, Jamie beautifully chronicles her life as a mother and a wife of a transracial family. Often being mistaken for her Ethiopian born son’s babysitter, she brilliantly mocks those guilty of “ageism and racism” proving that just because her family is a little different, it doesn’t make them any less the “ideal” family.

Her unique approach to parenting proves to be a compelling read. A strong advocate of attachment parenting and extended breastfeeding, Jamie has solidified herself as a strong voice in the parenting blog community.

Kendra of Kendra Too

Self proclaimed “provider of mirth” Kendra of Kendra Too doesn’t disappoint. She has brilliantly found a way to mesh the genres of a personal and lifestyle blog seamlessly. Tune in to get your delicious dose of recipes and read her witty soapbox musings that will undoubtedly leave you in stitches.

Tricia of Raising Humans

Tricia’s blog is a breath of fresh air. Her outlook on motherhood is refreshingly sweet and fun to read. Epitomising the softer side of motherhood, she gets sentimental in posts like Our Tree. She’s definitely one to watch.

Nae of I Choose the Sun

Don’t be fooled by her modest blog design. Nae of I Choose the Sun has a dynamic voice that absolutely deserves to be heard. Read along as she shares her life experiences. From her hilarious take on her natural hair journey to her refreshing point-of-view on local establishments, her “sunny” outlook, seamless writing style, and inherent positivity will have you thirsty for more.

Vivian of The Viet Babe’s Blog

Vivian is a certified mini celebrity and already a shining star in the lifestyle blog community. Snarky but never malice – sweet, but still sassy, Vivian says it like it is on everything from books to fashion. She proudly blogs about a little of everything and makes no apologies for it. Then she challenges her readers to figure out her “complex thought process”. She’s a riot and you’ll love it.

Sonia of LogAllot

With a brilliant blog design LogAllot.com offers a myriad of blogging tips, marketing advice, and blogging resources. Boasting years of experience in advertising and marketing, and having worked with the likes of Microsoft and Dell, Sonia is no doubt a knowledgeable resource. If you’re new to the game of blogging, refer to Sonia at Logallot.com to start you in the right directions.

Stacy-Ann of Weather Anchor Mama

Former model and current weather forecaster for the news out of New York City, Ms. Stacy is a diva in her own right. She gives an adorably refreshing take on how she balances her career and motherhood while throwing in tips on breastfeeding, makeup, beauty, and a touch of entertainment news for good measure. Follow her on twitter @weatheranchorma.

Veronica of Veronica Armstrong

If beautiful photography moves you, then VeronicaArmstrong.com should be on your list of favorite blogs. Wife and mother of two beautiful children, she shares her life through elegant photography and superb writing. She credits her family and her ever changing environment as her creative inspirations. Stop by to see her and be enveloped in her world.
