breakout blogger title3

Blogging has rapidly become the “job” of choice for creative and industrious women all over the world. Millions of women annually join the ranks of women blog veterans like Ree Drummond and Penelope Trunk in an attempt to become a standout in their chosen niche.

The industry in and of itself should not be ignored. The attention that the women blog industry has amassed over the course of the last few years is staggering. Blogs in women’s communities were the most visited last year, and it is the fastest growing Internet category hands down. The number of unique visits to women’s community sites jumped 35% to almost 70 million (up from 52 million in 2012). Those numbers are nothing to sneeze at.

Women bloggers are often neglected when it comes time for editors to piece together their general “Best of” lists; thus, the inspiration for this post. This list is comprised of sixteen women – all of whom are unique individuals whose voices and refreshing outlooks have, in my opinion, made them a stand out amidst some heavily saturated niches. These are blogs that I read, know, and love. From outspoken parenting bloggers to inspirational fitness gurus, each woman seems to be a true “break out” in each of their chosen blog vocations.

This is by no means a comprehensive list. Simply use this as a starting point to explore the fun, quirky, and inspirational world of women bloggers.

Here they are in no particular order:

Kesha, where did you design your social media bar across the bottom of your post?

    • February 27, 2013 at 9:34 am — Reply

That social media bar that slides up? That's a Wibiya script. No design skills needed. Just go to Wibiya.com, put your info in, and it'll pop out a little script for you to add to your page. Now they've been having an issue with Facebook likes and Google plus ones not showing on certain sites (mine being one of them. grrrr), but they claim they're working on it. I just loved all of the other features so much, I decided to keep it up.
