New Year’s resolutions – Right now they’re a little played out, but we’ve all made them at some point in our lives. The dictionary definition of a New Year’s resolution is a decision to do or stop something, made or announced at the New Year, which is traditionally considered a time for a fresh start; But we all know the truth – New Year’s resolutions are simply a mechanism that we use to put off all of our goals until the new year. An elegant form of procrastination.

There are the typical resolutions like working out more or to stop ignoring your daughter while blogging about New Year’s resolutions (or maybe that one was just a resolution I needed to make). And then there are the resolutions that are awesome and creative. I went on a quest to find out what were the best and most original New Year’s resolutions. Here are my top 10:

"I will stop sending emails to my wife."

Gerald Lumpki

"I will stop considering other people's feelings when they so obviously don't consider mine - if that unwashed fellow sits next to me again, I'll tell him he stinks!"
