Really? Are we here again? “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.” Shame, shame, shame on you Fantasia Barrino. For the longest time it was a big secret who the father of her unborn child was. The secret was kept until the baby shower. That’s when it was revealed that Antwaun Cook was the father. For those that don’t know, Antwaun Cook was the man that cheated on his wife with Fantasia. She claims she didn’t know that he was married. OK, I can understand that. Eventually Fantasia did find out the truth. For most women, that would mean the end of a relationship. Fantasia saw things differently. She felt that if she had a baby by Mr. Cook – the man she reportedly almost committed suicide over – that he would be there forever. You can’t expect someone who cheated on their spouse to be faithful and true to you. A bit contradictory isn’t it? Not only has he allegedly been cheating on her, but it seems he’s been trying to get back together with his wife.
You have to always be strong enough to do what’s best for you even if it’s what you don’t want. You live, you learn, you gain strength and move on. If things don’t work out the way that you expected, you let it “fool you once”…but ONLY once. Repeating the same thing over and over and getting the same results is the definition of insanity. For Fantasia’s inability to GET THE PICTURE, she is once again crowned our NON Role Model Celebrity of the Week.

On to a lighter note… I have to give it to Emily B. from VH1’s Love and Hip Hop. She’s been in a long term relationship with Mr. Fabolous… as in the rapper. It looks like he definitely hasn’t been very fabulous. After nine plus years, she took the kids, packed her bags, and finally left. It takes a strong person to do that after so much time. If you watch a couple of episodes, you’ll see how much she cares about him and wants to stay. What you want and what you need are two different things. When you choose your needs over your wants, no matter how much it hurts, you’re at a great start. Emily didn’t want to leave, but she knew she needed to. She handled her business.
For her strength and ability to take care of her needs over her wants, I have to crown Ms. Emily B. of VH1’s Love and Hip Hop our Celebrity Role Model of the Week.
Tune in next week for more celebrities you love… and love to hate.
