Ah, Memorial Day – the unofficial/official start to the summer season. And let’s also not lose sight of what the holiday is really for: to honor those who have fallen so that we can live freely. Not sure how barbequing became synonymous with that, but hey – I’ll roll with it.
Summer itself means different things to different people. To most kids it means break time: beaches, camping, and getting blood-shot eyes and wrinkly skin from the chlorine at the pool. For parents it generally means more stuff to do: There are camps to sign up for, trips to take, and activities to plan.
To help you start your journey, I’ve compiled 7 activities that you can do this summer to fill in some of the gaps. The bonus? They’re all easy and inexpensive to do. You can thank me later. 😉
