It’s often times baffling, occasionally disheartening, and disproportionately disgusting – It’s potty training, and it’s a plight that every parent has to go through.

My personal potty training story isn’t full of shiny organized potty charts and inspirational stories of triumph. The husband and I took the “relaxed” approach when it came to our boy and girl twins (Because, as you can imagine, keeping this process as stress-free as possible was important with two toddlers running around.)

Infant potty training didn’t seem like a strategy that I wanted to try seeing as how I wasn’t too keen on the idea of following my children around like a private investigator and sitting them on a potty every time I saw one of their little knees shake. (Feel free to call me lazy.); and keeping up with charts and stickers just wasn’t my shtick. Rewards worked on occasion, but my little rugrats were more interested in the reward itself instead of the more important potty process.

We determined that this whole potty training thing just wasn’t going to happen until they were ready; so we waited until around age 2 to kick things into gear.

It was a long, arduous road… That is – until I found a tool that made my life as a potty training stay-at-home momma so much easier.

For the longest time, my baby girl would only “tee-tee” in the potty. Those blasted “poopies” could never seem to make it out of her diaper into the potty. This is when Pull-ups® and the Pull-ups® brand really became my savior.

Pull-Ups® is very serious about helping parents be successful at potty training. They offer tons of amazing tips, tools, and resources on their site, Pull-Ups.com. I was able to keep track of my twin’s potty training successes using the Big Kid® Calendar and we even had a party or two.

My little girl LOVES activities. Each time she was successful at getting her “poopies” in the potty, we entered the Party Room on Pull-Ups.com and had a customized celebration after each successful Big Kid® flush. She got to spin a colorful wheel and received the option to be rewarded with everything from arts & crafts to a special movie.  She LOVED it!

With the help of Pull-ups® and their website, BOTH of my children were finally able to make the transition from diapers to underwear successfully. We still use Pull-ups® at bedtime as a precaution to get them through the night (which they absolutely love given all of the snazzy learning styles like the Pull-Ups® Training Pants with Cool Alert® and Learning Designs®).
