So My Site Exploded…

If you thought that I’ve been doing some redecorating lately, that isn’t the case. The day before yesterday We Got Kidz exploded. Error messages started popping up everywhere and I watched my baby crash and burn right in front of me. To watch something that you’ve put so much time and energy into just disappear right before your eyes is devastating. It was as if I had witnessed a death in the family. “Here lies the best mommy blog that ever was. – Lawd take me too!”

I took it quite well as far as I’m concerned. I only walked around crying hysterically and blubbering incoherently for a short period. A splash of cold water to the face and a shot of bourbon brought me back to earth, and I was left with a decision to make… Do I start over?

The answer was obvious. So you all will bare witness to me recreating We Got Kidz into something that will hopefully be bigger and better than ever. I’ll have to do it piece by piece so if it looks funky for a little while, don’t get weirded out. Bare with me.

I was able to retrieve a lot  of my post minus the ones from the last couple of months. I’m trying to decide if I will re-release them, but I’m afraid of clogging you all’s in-boxes with things that you’ve already read. Maybe I’ll just re-post the good ones – A “best of the best” feature or something… I don’t know. I’m still a little numb. Any words of encouragement or suggestions would be welcome and appreciated. Just don’t ask me what happened because I really don’t want to recount the trauma of it all, and to be completely honest, I’m not really even sure what happened. My web host couldn’t figure it out, and I wasn’t paying a tech person their astronomical rate to investigate. Just know that it’s gone.

Thank you to my fans who’ve chosen to stick around through this. I appreciate you, and think that you’re awesome. Look for a huge relaunch at the beginning of the year.

We Got Kidz is down… but not out.
