Stumble Saturdays – “Lunchbox Awesome”: This Mom Takes Packing a Lunch to a Whole Other Level

Today’s Stumble is brought to you by a mom who’s made it her life’s work to make all of us less creative and patient moms look bad.
Heather Sitarzewski of Tumblr page LunchboxAwesome.com decided that a regular old brown bad lunch wasn’t good enough for her son. She decided to use her creativity and knowledge of making bento boxes to put a fun and imaginative spin on her son’s mid-day meals.
I decided this past summer that I wanted to make a fun bento every day for my son’s lunches this school year. I dug around online for a bit to see ideas and found some very fun sites that have recipes and tutorials for how to manipulate food into shapes and patterns that you don’t envision initially when you think about it.
Okay Ms. Thang. Color me impressed.
You may not want to flip through these with your kids. If you do, be prepared to start cutting out cartoon characters from provolone each morning this coming school year.
