They make us laugh. They make us cry. They make us say, “Thank goodness I’m not the only one.” – They’re mommy bloggers. And in a world where it’s easy to feel like you’re alone, these wonderful women remind us that we’re all connected and in this parenting thing together – Each of us making valiant attempts at raising happy, healthy, functioning little members of society.

Each week I’ll be featuring a “Brilliant Blogger Broad” (B.B.B.) in the industry that you should definitely take some time to get to know. They each offer their own unique outlooks on family, parenting, and family lifestyle – often giving out invaluable tips and information that you’ll be grateful to know.

So sit back, relax, and get to know this week’s “Brilliant Blogger Broad” – Angela, of the wonderfully informative parenting and lifestyle guide for women, Mom-Spot.com.

*So, Angela – What do you blog about?

Mom-Spot.com blogs on over 90 subject areas.  My favorite to write are the interviews with the mom bloggers, mompreneurs, international moms, mom authors and so forth.  It’s fun to ask them “out of the box” questions that they haven’t been asked before.  They also inspire at the same time, so it fills my “need to know” bucket.

*What one word best describes your current state of mind?  Why?

Inspired and Thankful.  Mom-Spot.com has taken off like a rocket heading for the moon and I couldn’t be happier.  I am also thankful because I get to play for a living and include my daughter in my work.  We have the best time together.

*What inspired you to begin blogging?

That’s a long story and a rather fun one I have to admit.  Let’s just say that I “retired” from the non-profit world after being the Executive Director of a children’s charity that I also founded.  I was looking for something new and this just “fell into my lap” so to speak.  I really am not a writer in a blogger sort of way, but I am getting better at it with each and every post.  I love guest bloggers by the way!

*Complete this sentence:  “I blog because…”

It’s my job, no it’s my hobby, no it’s my passion, no…..well, I guess I really don’t know.  I blog because it’s never the same thing twice and I think I am ADD or ADHD or well, you get the picture.

*What advice do you have for someone who wants to start blogging?

Find a mentor and check out other blogs first.  Bloggers are a fantastic group of people and they are open to sharing their experience, or at least that is what I have found.

*Your favorite all time blog post (authored by you of course)?

It has to be the one about losing my mind because I was trying to get a mint out of the container….you really just need to read it.  http://mom-spot.com/2012/10/30/where-is-my-brain/

*What term or phrase do you most over use?

Awesome.  Enough Said.

61-Awesome

*Do you have any projects that you’re working on that have you engaged and excited?

The next site installment for Mom-Spot.com Network entitled CasualDad.com.  It’s a site by dads for dads.  We are in development right now with a pre-launch this summer.  I love to build things, so this and a box of Legos always have me engaged and excited!

*What do you do in your downtime to relax?

I play on my iPad mostly.  I also read, a lot.  If I get an entire weekend, I will determine how much total time I have and then just get in the car and drive.  I figure I’ve got half of the allotted time to get somewhere because I can get back in the other half of the time.

*What is your favorite part about being a mom?

Being with my daughter.  She is now 13 and we are taking many adventures together.  Last summer we went X-Railing in the jungles of Mexico. (Check out the photo on the bulletin board above.)

*Where can we connect with you?
